Real Estate Career Day / 29 April 2026

This year the 32nd edition of the Real Estate Career Day (RECD) will be organised. This is ‘the’ biggest real estate event for students in the Netherlands. The yearly event is organized by the practice association BOSS of the department Management in the Built Environment at the Delft University of Technology.

This year, the RECD will be hosted at the Faculty of Architecture of Delft University of Technology on Wednesday the 29th of April 2026. This event will give you the perfect opportunity to get insights in the current world of real estate. During the day students are given the possibility and are stimulated to get in touch with different real estate companies.

Every year, about 200 (real estate) students from different educational institutions across The Netherlands are brought together with more than 30 real estate-related companies. Would you like to make yourself known to reputable real estate companies or do you think you are the talent that should be noticed by every company? Make sure to sign up for the RECD 2026!

To make this day possible, the RECD 2026 is supported by the most prominent real estate-related study associations and educational institutions from the Netherlands.

The real estate sector is built in layers and each is constantly evolving. From regulatory frameworks and sustainability ambitions to technological innovation and market dynamics, professionals in the field are challenged to continuously adapt and grow. Success in real estate today is not just about overcoming challenges, but about rising through them. This forms the core theme of the Real Estate Career Day 2026: ‘Elevate: Rising in Every Layer’.

This year’s Real Estate Career Day explores how real estate professionals and organizations elevate their impact across every layer of the built environment. From improving urban livability and addressing housing shortages to leveraging digital transformation and creating long-term value, the focus lies on growth, resilience, and forward-thinking strategies that shape the cities of tomorrow.

During the Real Estate Career Day, participants will gain insights from diverse industry perspectives, engage in case studies that reflect real-world complexities, and connect with professionals who are actively elevating the real estate sector. Together, we will explore how to rise in every layer of real estate development and management.

We ask for a fee of €11,20 for the regular tickets. Both the RECD committee and the companies want to assure that students will take the day seriously and that they will participate in an active and enthusiastic way. In exchange, you will receive an all-inclusive day with all the materials needed for the interactions, the cases, food, drinks, and some exciting goodies!

The RECD will host a broad variety of companies related to the real estate world. Think about projects developers, real estate investors and advisors. There will be for sure at least one company that meets your interests, also for HBO students. Each of those companies is looking for graduating students, interns and future employees. For HBO students as well as masterstudents the RECD has been a great platform for their future career within the real estate world. You will receive a personal program, based on your preferences, in order to get the most out of the day.

For master students the RECD has always been a great platform for their future career within the real estate world. Are you looking for an internship, a graduation project, a traineeship or maybe even a job? Subscribe for the 1-on-1 talks! In this way you will give yourself the opportunity to have a ten minutes interview with a company (or companies) within the sector you are motivated to work in. The selection of those 1 to 1 interviews will be based on your motivation letter and CV. We suggest to write your motivation letter for the sector you are interested in, explaining why.

Each company organizes a business case, considered to be representative of their everyday challenges and activities. You will be able to benchmark the companies and broaden your knowledge about the companies. The two cases are also a great opportunity to show your skills and present yourself to the companies.

Yes! The RECD 2024 will be fully accessible for international students. The kick-off will be in English, two or more cases will be in English, and two or more company interactions will be in English. You might also apply for 1-on-1 talks in which you will be assured to talk with a company with special interest in international students! And of course, the career market is accessible for everyone. Most companies will be able to provide you with some general information about the company and answer any question you might have.
